Connections

For those of you who know me, or have been following my blog or see me ‘occasionally’ on Facebook, you know that I don’t believe in “coincidences”- I call them ‘Godcidences!’
Furthermore, for those who know me, know people often ask: “Is there anyone you don’t know?”  My reply is always the same: “Nope! Only the people I haven’t met/talked to yet!” (Some people say I should have a title of networking facilitator. "No, I SAY, "that's  GOD’s job!”)

The last couple weeks have been like that for me. I can only chalk it up to Godcidences, and I want to challenge you to look for them in your life, too!  You’ll be surprised that when all is said and done, the chanceS are 100% you are supposed to be connected with ‘whomever’  when they waltz into your life.
I’d like to share some of the amazing ‘connections’ that have waltzed into my life recently. Take some time at look at their websites/blogs and pass the information along – you won’t be disappointed you did!!
  1. cancersurvivorfrommesothelioma: https://mesothelioma.net/mesothelioma/  A friend reminded me of a post I did in 2013 ) that has a video clip of Heather – a young gal who battled mesothelioma. I went back to the clip and WOW! I’d forgotten how powerful Heather’s story is. Go to http://www.caretuk.com/blog/inspiration-plus to view it. Another helpful post that you might be interested in/also make  connections-with-is-the-cerebral-palsy-community:  http://cerebralpalsyguidance.com/
  2. Wm. Paul Young: author of “The Shack”: Whodda thunk that my parent’s best friend’s son, who helped me get Loose Screws and Skinned Knees off the ground 7-8 years ago, would be a friend of Paul’s and would ‘introduce’ us?! God’s in the details! 100%!  You will ‘hear’ more of him in Don’t Wimp Out when it comes out, hopefully Fall 2018. Until then, check out HIS site!! And subscribe to his blog!! http://www.wmpaulyoung.com/
  3. Srini Rao:  If it weren’t for Srini and his vision to keep on keeping on, and invite me to an amazing Instigator’s Experience, I may have never launched out and tried things I only dreamed of. I have met and networked with incredible people because of Srini. His site:  https://unmistakablecreative.com/
  4. Electra  Ariail, one of the people I met at the Instigator’s Experience, has an incredible site:   www.mygratitudebuddy.com  I love it, because you can type in several favorite saying, phrases, words, whatever, and RANDOMLY they come in as text or email (you choose when on the site) . I can’t tell you HOW many times texts come through, and my ‘compass phrases” pop up, keeping me on track!
  5. If you like the ocean, you will LOVE my “down under’ New Zealand buddy’s site: www.candaceloy.com – I have some of her artwork (polar bears under the aurora’s painted on a seashell from New Zealand!
  6. My college roomie is taking new steps and continues both as an occupational therapist and as a deaconess to spotlight disability awareness. The newsletter that she is in charge of is chock full of ideas for ALL of us! Go to  http://myemail.constantcontact.com/Newsletter-from-the-DisAbility-Ministries-Committee-of-the-UMC.html?soid=1104745249463&aid=4YxkHJcUVl4
  7. I’d be remiss if I didn’t add www.WISPhotography.com  - See sites of Alaska! All of the photos seen are untouched – no Photoshop, no edits! Keep looking in the months ahead as my hubby and son will be adding new photos! They are available in journals, notecards, etc!!
  8. Joni Eareckson Tada is one of my dear friends. I not only had the honor of working with Joni and Friends, helping to develop Wheels for the World and parts of Family Retreats, but she and I are cancer-co-horts and Kingdom Kapers! Her DVD’s, CS’s, books, blogs are ALL incredible!  www.joniandfriends.org
  9. And last, but not least, God plopped Kimberley Woodhouse and Tracie Peterson in my lap. They have not only become prayer partners, warfare warriors, but are assisting with editing Don’t Wimp Out! (due Fall 2018 Westbow/Zondervan/Thomas Nelson)  but they are AMAZING award winning Christian Historical Fiction authors (Barbour Books and Bethany House). Between them they have written over 100 books! I don’t dare start one of their new ones, because nothing else will get done until I’m finished!! Find them at www.kimberleywoodhouse.com and www.traciepeterson.com
I could go on and on, but you get my (snow?) drift!! !! Enjoy MY connections! Pass them on!!
