just what is "break up"?

Hope you are up for a challenge – for the LIFE of me I can’t figure how to rotate these photos – so just turn them around!! Friday’s gone and Sunday’s a comin’!!
Here in Alaska, we look forward, often with tongue in cheek, for ‘break-up’ – it is kind of like you lower 48’rs looking for the first crocus or daffodil (which MIGHT bloom in July up here!)
So, I thought I would share some photos of what we “look like” as break up begins….or it thinks to begin……..we woke up this morning to find 3″ of new snow and it hasn’t stopped yet…..we have broken all records for amounts of snow and low temperatures, so why not have a year round of snow this year? We’ve already conceeded we won’t be doing a garden this year!!
Snow or not, ‘Tis Eastertide and Passover…..CELEBRATE!
